Miss Virginia, Caressa Cameron, is the new Miss America. The 22-year-old broadcast journalism student outlasted 52 other competitors to clinch the Miss America title and a 50-thousand-dollar scholarship at the long standing pageant, now in its 89th year. Miss California, Kristy Cavinder was named first runner-up, winning 25-thousand-dollars in scholarship money. Hosted by "Extra" TV personality Mario Lopez and Clinton Kelly of TLC's "What Not The Wear," the 2010 Miss America Pageant was held Saturday night at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas and broadcast on TLC.
